Short version: the best project of each year is the week of Dohnanyi Academy!

But let’s see what this is, longer version:
The Dohnanyi Orchestra Budafok is one of the top European orchestras: once taking in youngsters,
college students and career starting musicians, the ensemble has since become a high quality orchestra,
combining musical and human values.
The biggest project of the Dohnany Academy, founded in 2016 under the leadership of the orchestra
and its conductor, Gábor Hollerung, is the annual Masterclass for conductors.
The course is attended by an average of 10 young conductors a year,
who, after an eight-day intensive rehearsal week, give a concert with the orchestra
in one of Budapest’s representative concert halls.

We have been working with the orchestra on small and large projects for many years,
so the logo has been renewed over the years. The original concept was partially retained and used according
to the different functions. Simplification was the main task, so we kept the three bars from the original
and recolored them. We also took the initials of the orchestra’s name (bdz) into the band’s logo and playfully
shaped it into musical notes. Fortunately, the band sees the possibilities in it,
and the logo elements are used separately, too.

In the case of the Dohnányi Academy, the task was further simplification: we used only the three stripes,
a single-color concept. The diversity of the appearance of graphic materials is given by the alternation
of color elements and photographs.

As a huge advantage of the multifunctional agency, we are also photographers of the Dohnanyi Academy
every year. This is the most interesting week of the year. We spent almost 6 hours a day with the conductors
and the band, standing (sometimes sitting or balancing in strange poses a few inches from the instruments)
among musicians, breathing with the music and laughing at the jokes.
It is a very unique, extremely professional and amazingly loving family.
